Thought this was a pretty cool photo of Herbert recording sounds for his new album. In case you can't tell from the photo, he's mic'ing a little chick. Wonder what the chick's thinking...
I love this photo. That little chick is SO cute! This is certainly a more interesting photo than we would get from some of his other sound projects. A photo of Herbert crinkling wrappers might not have the same "cute appeal." However, he seems to take it so seriously that maybe nearly any photo of his sound gathering techniques would be interesting. Thanks for sharing!
at first glance i thought herbert was holding a chainsaw then i read a little of the post and saw the word "chick" i looked at the photo again and espied the little chick now, thoroughly horrified, i continued reading the post and realized that herbert is not, in fact, committing chicken chainsaw massacre but holding a (very impressive) mic
I was born in 1970 ("born with the year," my parents used to say; actually I was "born with the decade," I've since realized). I moved to Nashville from Michigan in July 2005. I'm still adjusting to not knowing where anything is (after living in Michigan for my entire life), and am trying to find good ethnic food restaurants. I have more grey hair than you might think, but am now keeping my head pretty much shaved so you can't really tell. I enjoy a wide variety of music and wish I had more friends to play songs for. I have an inquisitive nature (some people would say that I ask too many questions), and have a head full of useless information. I enjoy conversations with unique or intelligent people, but have a very hard time with small talk. My wife laughs at almost all of my jokes, which is why I married her. I’m at least 6’6” tall. I only have one dimple (right cheek).
